Open-Source Circuit Radiation Effects (OSCRE) Simulation Framework
The SCALE Open-Source Circuit Radiation Effects (OSCRE) Simulation Framework, also known as OSCAR, is an open-source tool designed to simulate radiation effects at the circuit level. The framework utilizes various open-source Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools to provide a user-friendly environment for simulating single event effects. It includes a library of customizable radiation simulation blocks or cells that can be placed in a schematic to simulate radiation strikes at specific nodes.
The OSCRE Simulation Framework has been integrated with several open-source EDA tools, including X-Chem for schematic capture and NG Spice for circuit simulation. The framework also allows users to adjust various parameters, such as charge injection time, fall time, and total charge delivered, to customize the simulation results. The tool is designed to provide a more efficient and accurate way of simulating radiation effects on large circuits, making it a valuable resource for researchers and designers in the field.
