Artificial intelligence (AI) offers advanced information analysis and decision-making capabilities, and has been identified as a potential third offset for the Department of Defense (DoD). While AI plays an increasingly central role in operations, challenges related to trust, verifiability, risk modeling, bias, fairness, human interaction, and feedback persist.
This technical vertical aims to characterize, investigate, and manage these challenges with a suite of toolboxes developed through student research projects across multiple SCALE universities.
